How it works
When you book online, I will visit you at your business for a mini shoot (about 15 minutes from at least a 2 meter distance of course), and provide you with 3-5 photos that you can use online or in print to promote your business and tell your story. Additional services such as a professionally designed photo collage, being listed in our online Calgary Small Business directory and featured in our blog can be included in the session booking upon request, or purchased separately without a session booking.
For your Connect YYC Session, you will choose your own poses or use some from the suggestions in the list below:
- Introduce your new business in Calgary (just opened)
- Show how your business is preventing the spread of the virus (sanitation practices, changes in distribution, etc..)
- Demonstrate how you are working/coping during these difficult times (eg. moved online, etc..)
- Send a message to customers or the general public (maybe a message on a whiteboard)
- Introduce a new product or service in your company
- Introduce yourself and your role in the company
$5 from each booking will be donated to one of three local charities who could use your support during this crisis.

We know Calgarians, who were already struggling through tough economic times will need increased food support as the city experiences unprecedented closures due to the COVID-19 virus. Not only do we need to continue to support and feed the most vulnerable populations who rely on us during the COVID-19 crisis, but due to the uncertainty of this pandemic, we require one month’s supply of food and supplies at all times. Any donation you are able to provide will be greatly appreciated by the DIC and the Calgarians we serve.

We have seen a tremendous increase in calls to our crisis support lines as a result of COVID-19. Routines have changed due to school closures and working from home; self-isolation and social distancing have placed an increased demand on our programs. In the last few days, demand has surged and pressures to meet rising needs are becoming increasingly challenging. With your help, we can help.
